Join us for our monthly chapter meetings and get to know other women in aviation. We gather at rotating locations, sometimes at the homes of our members, and sometimes at airports. We discuss our educational and volunteer efforts, news of the chapter and member achievements, and vote on issues important to our organization. We often meet for breakfast, lunch or dinner before the meeting or have food provided. Our chapters consist of the positions of Chapter Chair, Chapter Vice Chair, Chapter Treasurer, Chapter Secretary and other volunteer positions. Taking part in the chapter as a volunteer is an honor and a joy. We are committed to supporting women in all types of aviation endeavors. The chapter is governed by bylaws.
Twice a year we join up with other chapters that form the Mid-Atlantic Section. These meetings rotate locations as well and are held at hotels near the events airport. The section is run by a Governor, Vice Governor, Secretary, Treasurer, and two directors. A multitude of volunteer positions are also available at this level. Our section meetings give us the chance to catch up with friends and plan events together. Often those living close to Eastern PA will join us for lunches, flyouts and volunteer events.
Once a year the Ninety-Nines hold an International meeting. The locations have been in such places as New Zealand, California, and Germany. The International meeting is packed full of excursions, both in the air, and on the ground. We get to meet our Ninety-Nines sisters from around the world and reconnect with those we have met in previous years. The convention concludes with our annual business meeting on Saturday. This years meeting is on The Queen Mary, docked in Long Beach, California.
