Networking

In addition to the informal social component of chapter membership, the opportunity to network (virtually and in person) among chapter members is varied. Chapter members enjoy voluntary participation in a GoogleGroups email user group, which allows members to contact one another for help with anything (not always aviation-related), to volunteer, or to be directed to subject-matter experts as needed.

Professional Pilot Leadership Initiative (PPLI)

The Professional Pilot Leadership Initiative (PPLI) aims to accelerate the advancement of women in all pilot professions, facilitate mentoring, and enhance our leadership role in the aviation community. The program provides highly motivated 99s with tools to develop their careers and leadership abilities. Through guided activities and formal mentoring partnerships, it strengthens and expands the network of women pilots.

This highly-structured, formal mentoring program is unique.  The mentor and mentee will communicate on a weekly basis to discuss the mentoring prompts and guided activities.  Participants must commit to meeting the program expectations for the entire duration of the 18-24 month program.

How to apply:

If you are a 99s member with at least a commercial license pursuing a professional pilot career or if you are an established professional who wants to take your career to the next level, this program is designed for you.  Please read the Fact Sheet for a listing of the program requirements.

The links below will get you directly to the 99s Website PPLI information and application forms.

Application deadlines:  July 31st and January 31st
